Reik is a musical trio from the town of Mexicali, Baja California Mexico was nominated for awards such as the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America 2005 and 2005 Latin Grammy. The look of the group and their music is somewhat inspired by the English trio BBMak, and other musical influences of this group are: Further Seems Forever, Gustavo Cerati, Sin Bandera, Shakira, Maroon 5 (which sang several times the single "This Love "), Coldplay, Café Tacuba. They won in 3 categories: "Best Group", "Best Mexican Artist" and "Best New Artist Mexicano", ranking as second biggest winners of the night, after Shakira. Reik was nominated for "Proudly Latino" in the categories "Best Video of the Year," "Song of the Year" and "Best Latin Group". They took the award for "Best Song of the Year" for his single "Inolvidable."

Jesús Alberto Navarro Rosas (lead vocals) was born on July 9, 1986 in the city of Mexicali, BC
From the age of six he started singing in choirs and masses. His musical influences are diverse, John Mayer, Justin Timberlake, Robbie Williams, among others.

 

 

 

Julio Ramirez Eguia (acoustic guitar), born December 21, 1987 in the city of Mexicali, BC

Playing guitar since age 12, with the musical influence to Further Seems Forever.

 

 

Gilberto "Bibi" Marin (electric guitar) was born on January 26, 1983 in the city of Mexicali, BC
Was the penultimate in joining Reik, his musical influences are Incubus, [[Radiohead], among others. In 2002 he entered the Faculty of Architecture at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (UABC) in Mexicali, which then left to pursue music full.
